Assessment-led work
We start with the garment itself. Construction, seam allowances, fabric condition, and fit limitations guide what can be done, so the result is practical as well as considered.
We work by appointment to reshape, update, and reuse clothing with care and clear communication.
Alteration Atelier creates thoughtful alterations and redesigns for garments that deserve a second life. From fit updates to full remodelling, every project begins with an assessment of the fabric, construction, and the changes you want to make.
Our work is especially suited to vintage pieces, meaningful clothing, and wardrobes that need a more sustainable path forward. We explain the scope before work begins and review the fit again at collection.

Our approach is practical, transparent, and shaped around the garment you bring in.
We start with the garment itself. Construction, seam allowances, fabric condition, and fit limitations guide what can be done, so the result is practical as well as considered.
Every project is explained in writing before work begins. That includes the agreed scope, the concept for redesign projects, and any materials that need to be sourced separately.
We focus on reuse where possible, turning existing garments into pieces that feel current without losing what made them worth keeping.
From vintage-garment fit updates to accessory projects made from fabric offcuts, our work supports wardrobes that are built to last longer.
A careful process helps each garment keep its character while moving toward a better fit or a new purpose.
The process begins with a project inquiry and a garment assessment, so we can understand the fabric, structure, and possibilities before discussing the design.
Next comes a redesign consultation and a written scope with a quote based on the review. For remodelling projects, concept approval is part of the process.
Once the work is complete, we check the fit or finish again at collection and handle any agreed final adjustment with care.
